A WOMAN WHOSE disappearance sparked a missing person hunt has been found safe and well.

Gardai had earlier today released a CCTV image of  a woman they believed to be 22-year-old Caitriona Horan. The image was taken in Ennis on Saturday afternoon.

Horan, 22, of Tawnylea, Drumkeeran, Co Leitrim, had been missing since she met with a friend on in Dublin city last Wednesday.

She was last seen outside Trinity College at 5.15pm on 11 February.

She was wearing a dark grey (tweed effect) single-breasted winter jacket from Zara, black tights or leggings and black ‘Shuh’ boots, and is described as being 5′ 5″ in height, of slim build, and has dark brown hair and eyes.

She was due to arrive at her sister’s home in Ashtown that night, but did not show up and her phone was switched off. The phone was briefly turned back on the following morning and she sent a message to a friend.

A small amount of money was also taken out of her bank account at an ATM that morning.

Gardaí said yesterday that they believed she may be in the Ennis area of Co Clare and had released this CCTV image which was taken in Ennis on Saturday at around 2.30pm.

The Garda press office has now released a statement, marked 4.30pm, saying that Caitriona had been found “safe and well” and thanked the public for their assistance.
