If you found money, how much would it have to be before you would hand it in?

Finders keepers?

GARDAÍ IN WESTMEATH have praised an anonymous man who donated thousands of euro to charity after finding cash “blowing in the wind”.

In September 2024, the man discovered the money – which was said to be “in the thousands” – and handed it in to Mullingar Garda Station. After 366 days with no owner coming forward, gardaí informed him the money was legally his.

When he returned to collect it, the man said he planned to donate the entire sum to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

“Thank you for being such an honest gentleman, it pays to be such,” the gardaí said.

After such a thoughtful gesture, it made us wonder what others would do in a similar situation.

So, today we’re asking: If you found money, how much would it have to be before you would hand it in?
