One man injured, another arrested following Sligo shooting
A man is hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot wound during an incident in Tubbercurry.
A MAN IN his 30s has been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot wound during an incident in Tubbercurry, Co Sligo, last night.
The incident occurred at around 8pm at Connolly Park, just outside the centre of the town.
The man was rushed by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital; his condition has not been disclosed.
Gardaí say another man in his 30s was arrested at the scene, and remains in detention at Ballymoate Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.
