RECENT TECHNOLOGICAL advancements and developments make it increasingly easy to run a more energy-efficient home and which also allows people greater control over their property’s functions, from the heating to the lighting.

We’ve taken a look at some of those developments, from smartphone apps to control your house alarm to robot vaccums and smart fridges which recommend dinner recipes based on the food it is storing.
