Pedestrian, 80s, seriously injured in Donegal collision

The pedestrian was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries

A PEDESTRIAN IN his 80s has been seriously injured following a collision with a car in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision which occurred at Lower Main Street, Letterkenny around 1pm today.
The pedestrian was brought to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. No other injuries were reported at the time.
The scene is preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road remains closed at this time and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 12:15pm and 1:15pm today are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
