Pedestrian killed in road traffic accident in Cavan
The man in his 60s died from his injuries after the collision last night.
A MAN IN his 60s has died following a road traffic collision in Cavan last night.
The pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car in Stradone at around 7.45pm last night.
He was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment but he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the car was injured.
Gardaí in Cavan are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
The part of the N3 where the accident took place was closed for some time while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carried out an examination of the scene, but has since re-opened.
