Two men due in court over Phibsboro armed robbery

The men were arrested close to the scene yesterday after they escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash from a financial institution in Phibsboro.

TWO MEN ARE  due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with an armed robbery in Phibsboro on Dublin’s northside yesterday afternoon.

The men were arrested close to the scene after they threatened staff at a financial institution on Phibsboro Road and escaped on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash. Both men were armed with knives.

The men, both in their 40s,  were detained at nearby Mountjoy Garda Station overnight.

They are due to appear before the Bridewell court at 10.30am today.
