Tens of thousands of people turned out on the streets around Ireland today.
THE WEATHER WAS a bit rubbish at times, but that didn’t stop proceedings.
Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets around Ireland to celebrate all things to do with St Patrick – or, at least, to wear something green, watch a parade, take some pics and maybe even have some craic.
We’ve gone through all the photos from the day and picked out our favourites.
Let’s start with the biggest. Tens of thousands of people lined the streets of Dublin city centre to take in the country’s largest parade

Grand Marshal Brendan O'Carroll got into the spirit of things with a green suit
And this guy on the O'Connell monument had one of the best views in the city
Our reporter Christina Finn went out and about before the parade started and asked tourists what they made of it all
She also caught this impromptu performance by Stomptown Brass on Suffolk Street in Dublin city centre

Limerick had one of the biggest parades in the country, with an estimated 80,000 turning out on the streets
Not to be outdone, a similar number of people turned up in Cork city
Plus George Hook, of course
There was also forty shades of red at the Cork city parade, where redheads gathered to march and celebrate all things to do with red hair
Galway saw big crowds in the city centre

Some people had an early start in Kerry. Dingle had the first parade of the day, kicking off at 6am
Meanwhile, outside of Ireland, Marbella had its own Patrick's Day festival, where several thousand people turned out in the heat (we're very, very jealous)
And even Paddington Bear in London got Irished up for the day
