Plane in landing accident at Cork Airport

An investigation has been opened into the incident involving the nose wheel of a light aircraft.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS been opened after a plane was involved in an accident while landing at Cork Airport this afternoon.

It’s understood the light aircraft suffered a problem as it touched down on the airport’s runway at around 3pm today.

Two people were aboard the aircraft at the time, but there were no injuries. Airport police and fire services attended the scene.

One flight was diverted to Shannon airport, but there were no other disruptions to services. The incident is now being investigated by an air accident investigation team.
