A PROPOSED LABOUR election ad shows Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin and Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams getting married, with the tagline ‘This is one marriage we should vote NO to this year’.
The Sunday Independent has published the draft ad, which also shows left-wing TDs Clare Daly, Mick Wallace, Paul Murphy and Richard Boyd Barrett.
The paper says that Martin’s spokeswoman described Labour as “clutching straws in desperation”, while a Labour source said the ad was to make a “serious point in a humorous way”.
What do you think? Is the proposed Labour ‘gay marriage’ election ad appropriate?
