YESTERDAY’S SHOCK ANNOUNCEMENT that veteran RTÉ broadcaster Pat Kenny will leave his working home of 41-years to join independent radio station Newstalk caused quite a stir – even causing the subject to trend worldwide on Twitter.
Kenny will be joining his new station to host a mid-morning show that will run from 10am to 12.30pm from 2 September.
The news has been met with mixed reaction from RTÉ, Newstalk, Twitter and the general public – but will listens follow him to his new station?
