TAYLOR SWIFT’S NEW album has been released – to mixed reviews.
The Life of a Showgirl is the pop superstar’s twelfth studio album and was created during the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.
The album is said to be a love letter to the highs and lows of life in show business.
Its fun-loving catchy lyrics mark a departure from her previous albums – which could explain why it’s received very mixed reviews. Critics have described it as anything from “a loved-up pop victory lap” to “dull razzle-dazzle from a star who seems frazzled”.
Swifties (that is, fans of Swift) are also divided on the new record and have taken to social media to express their delight and disappointed since its release.
