Protecting Ireland's progress: COVID-19 remains a threat - here's how we can all help

Use your own judgement to assess each situation, and be mindful of the risks involved.

Ireland is proceeding through the Recovery plan cautiously in order to safeguard the progress we have made so far. COVID-19 remains a threat and the Delta variant is now spreading rapidly in Ireland and around the world.

More than ever, we must remember that it’s not just about observing the rules, but using your own judgement to assess your situation, knowing what activities are higher risk, and being mindful that some activities are especially high risk if you are not vaccinated.

If you have symptoms, self-isolate, book a test online or go to a walk in centre.

Reopening 2

Indoor hospitality is reopening for people who are fully vaccinated or who have recovered from COVID-19 in the preceding six months.

Valid proof of vaccination/recovery and photo ID will be required for entry to all indoor hospitality.

Please cooperate with the measures businesses are operating to keep us safe.

For information please go to gov.ie/reopeninghospitality.

Vaccination 2

Over 66% of adults are fully vaccinated, and over 80% partially.

Vaccination for under-25s is now underway.

Anyone aged 18 and over can now register for a vaccine.

Recovery 2

Our Economic Recovery Plan provides clarity on supports and charts a course to help people get back to work.

Numbers on PUP continue to decrease – at lowest level since March.

A range of supports is available for PUP recipients as part of Pathways To Work Strategy.

Government will continue to review and monitor the virus and follow public health advice in support of a safe and gradual reopening.
