Enjoyed the sun? Showers are set to turn heavy and thundery this afternoon

The wet weather will persist into next week, according to Met Éireann.

THE WEATHER OUTLOOK for the coming days looks blustery, showery, and possibly thundery.

Met Éireann has said that we can expect to see rainy days persist as far as the weekend, and into next week, while temperatures will range in the high teens.

This morning will feature scattered showers and sunny spells across the country.

These showers will turn heavy or possibly thundery in the west and north as the day goes on, and continue through this evening.

Temperatures today will range between 16 and 20 degrees, with fresh and gusty west to southwest winds. Tonight will continue to be breezy with more rain, and some clear spells, forecast.

Tomorrow’s weather will be much the same, as will Friday’s, Met Éireann said.

Looking further ahead, the weekend and early days of next week will continue to be showery, with some sunny spells and temperatures in the high teens.
