Two men killed in separate road collisions

The men were fatally wounded when their cars crashed in Kerry and Wicklow.

TWO MEN HAVE been killed overnight in two separate road collisions in Kerry and Wicklow.

A 22-year-old man was fatally injured when his car crashed at Rathmore, Co Kerry at around 10.30pm last night. His body was taken to Tralee General Hospital where a post mortem will take place later today.

In the early hours of this morning, a 40-year-old man was also killed when his car hit a wall in Aughrim in Wicklow. He was pronounced dead at the scene and body has been taken to St. Columcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown.

The roads remain closed pending Garda examinations and diversions are in place.
