EVERY CHRISTMAS, THERE is a reminder put out there to be safe on our roads.
While accidents are common, others are luckier.
Patrick Nolan was driving home in Galway on Tuesday with his four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son in the back of the car.
Approaching the junction of the Gort and Kinvara roads near Labane, a driver ignored a stop sign, causing the cars to come within inches of a crash.
Patrick sent the video, taken on his dashcam, in order to remind drivers to slow down and pay attention this Christmas.
“I’m e-mailing because I would love you to put up the video to create awareness on our roads. Stop signs should be obeyed and so should speed limits.
“Luckily there were no injuries but boy was it close, a second either way and my wife may have had a very lonely Christmas.”
