A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Mayo woman Sandra Collins, who has been missing since December 2000.
The 58-year-old man was arrested in Ballina, Mayo, earlier today and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Ballina Garda Station. He has been released and gardaí are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
On Wednesday, a 21-year-old woman was arrested and held under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939. She was subsequently released without charge.
Sandra Collins was last seen in a takeaway called the Country Kitchen in Killala, Co Mayo, on the night of 4 December 2000. She was 29 years old.
