STUDENTS WHO ACHIEVED high points in the Leaving Certificate are being guaranteed campus accommodation by some universities, reports The Sunday Times.

The National Parents Council have criticised the initiative which gives students who achieved over 500 points or more a room, stating that room allocation should not be made on the basis of points.
The scheme is reported to be in place in DCU as well NUI Maynooth.
