Two arrested after Dublin taxi driver held at knifepoint

The driver managed to free himself and escape and the car was found by gardaí.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in Dublin following an alleged carjacking.

The incident occurred at 4am yesterday morning when a male taxi driver was held at knifepoint by two men in the Park West area of Dublin. The driver managed to free himself and escape unharmed before the two men drove off.

Gardaí said the car was abandoned and they recovered it a short distance from the scene. During a follow up operation, two men aged in their 20s were arrested a short time later.

They are both detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station and investigations are ongoing.
