As the school year comes to a close, pupils and parents often plan to give gifts to their teachers to show their appreciation.
TODAY MARKS THE final day of the school year for most pre-school and primary pupils across the country.
As schools close for the summer, many teachers will receive cards and presents from their students. In some class groups, parents pool donations to buy a joint gift, such as a voucher. In many others, families give gifts individually.
