Investigation ongoing into shooting of teenager

The boy was standing outside a house in Crumlin when he was shot at from a passing vehicle.

GARDAÍ ARE CONTINUING to investigate the shooting of a teenage boy in Dublin last night.

The 16-year-old was standing on the street outside a house when a number of shots were fired from a passing vehicle on the Lismore Road in Crumlin at about 9pm. The car is understood to be a black-coloured saloon.

The victim was taken to St James’s Hospital following the gun attack and his injuries were described by a Garda spokesperson as not life-threatening.

The scene was sealed off for forensic and technical examinations.
