2. #HOT MAIL Three male workers at PWC have been suspended in the investigation into the Hot Mail scandal, according to the Irish Sun. 4. #OOPS Dublin Zoo is running an ‘orang-utan week’ – and is letting ginger kids (or kids wearing red wigs) in free. The move caused some controversy on Twitter yesterday, with many users claiming the promotion was insensitive and stigmatised red-haired children.
5. #BYELECTION The government is to seek an early date for the hearing of its appeal against the High Court ruling on the Donegal South West byelection.
6. #NICE A British brother and sister who unearthered a rare Chinese vase in a clear-out of a suburban house were stunned when it sold for over €50 million.
7. #CHILDREN Barnardos is claiming that children will go hungry if the government implements social welfare cuts in the Budget.
8. #SUDDEN CARDIAC DEATH The incidence of sudden cardiac death (SCD) among young people in the Republic is higher than in a number of other European countries.
9. #SCIENCE Evolution may have begun about 400 million years earlier than previously thought, scientists studying rock formations in Scotland have claimed. Tell that to the female staff of PWC…
