Three killed on Irish roads last night

Separate crashes in Counties Kerry, Cavan and Limerick claim lives.

THREE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN killed in separate road accidents.

A motorcyclist, 37, has died following a collision with a car on the N7 Dublin Road outside Limerick.

The accident occurred on the Annacotty to Kilmurray stretch of the N7 at around 7pm, according to RTÉ.

The road was closed yesterday for a technical examination but has been reopened.

A 27-year-old woman was killed in a single vehicle crash at Irrebeg near Lixnaw in Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning. It is understood she was the front seat passenger in the car.

Newstalk reports that the 23-year-old male driver of a car in Co Cavan has died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash this weekend.
