TRUE DETECTIVE RETURNS to our screens this month.

10 years after the premiere of True Detective, the critically acclaimed Sky Atlantic show is back with a new title, detectives and mysteries to unravel. True Detective: Night Country looks set to be one of the biggest TV events of the year when it premieres on Sky.

Premiering January 15, the new season brings the audience into the ice and darkness of the Alaskan winter, setting it apart from other series. This season’s cast of stars includes Academy Award Winner Jodie Foster, hunting down killers in her first major role on television. Foster is joined by professional boxer Kali Reis as co-lead in this series along with Christopher Eccleston and John Hawkes.

The gripping mystery emerges with the disappearance of eight men – who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station in town – without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kalis Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.

Promising to be every bit as thrilling and eerie as the seasons that came before it, this season will puzzle and shock audiences in equal measure. As one mystery is solved, the strings that hold the reality of this quiet but curious town together begin to unravel.

The signature True Detective style, with unrivalled storytelling and an incredibly cinematic atmosphere, is evident in the latest season. The intriguing and twisting nature of the investigation will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
