Turkish groom accidentally kills three at wedding

Dead include the groom’s father.

A MAN ACCIDENTALLY shot 11 of his wedding guests when celebrating his new marriage, the BBC reports.

The man was firing an AK-47 to mark the occasion, but lost control of the weapon and accidentally fired at his wedding guets. Eight people were injured in the shooting, and three more were killed including the groom’s father.

Two of the groom’s aunts were also killed.

A few weeks ago, a wedding photographer was killed in Sicily after being accidentally shot by guns he had asked the wedding party to pose with. Photographer Calogero Scimeca, 45, was struck in the head when one of the guns went off.

Firing guns to celebrate a wedding is a tradition in the south of Italy and across Turkey.
