Ryan brother charged over Michael Kelly shooting

Vincent Ryan appeared before the Special Criminal Court today.

VINCENT RYAN, THE 22-year-old brother of murdered Real IRA member Alan, has been charged in connection to the death of Michael Kelly in 2011.

Kelly was shot dead in north Dublin on 15 September last year.

Ryan appeared before the Special Criminal Court today with his co-accused, 23-year-old Darragh Evans, reports RTÉ.

Both were charged with possession of an assault rifle and a revolver. The two men were also in court last week, charged with membership of an unlawful organisation.

They remain in custody until 3 October. They were arrested with 15 other people as part of an investigation into events at the funeral of Alan Ryan earlier this month.
