Open thread: Will you be watching Katie Taylor's fight this afternoon?

And if you’re lucky enough to be able to be near a telly, where will you be watching?

THE WHOLE COUNTRY is talking about this afternoon’s Olympic Lightweight semi final, which will see Bray’s Katie Taylor take on Mavzuna Chorieva of Tajikstan at 2pm.

Bray Civic Centre is wheeling out the big screens in time for the bout, while Twitter is ablaze with chat about the fight hours before Taylor enters the ring.

Many places around the country saw people grind to a halt on Monday for Taylor’s quarter final win, like these shoppers in Dundrum:

Lucky ducks Jenny Murphy and co are on their way to the ExCel Arena to see the fight for themselves:

We’re wondering, whether you’re at work, studying, at home or abroad today, will you get to get near a television, a computer screen or at least a radio to watch or listen to Katie’s fight? Is your boss allowing you and your co-workers to take some time up to cheer her on, or are you the boss?

Let us know your options  in the comments section below…

(Don’t forget Alistair Cragg goes in the second heat of the 5000m at 10.45am this morning, while Paddy Barnes takes on Devendro Singh Laishram of India at 8.45pm in the Men’s Light Flyweight)
