Man due in court over Kilkenny cannabis plant haul

A man in his 20s will appear before Waterford District Court this morning after over 400 plants were seized yesterday.

A MAN in his 20s will appear before Waterford District Court this morning in connection with the seizure of over 400 cannabis plants from a house in Kilkenny yesterday.

The plants were recovered from a house in Ballymorris in the south of the county in a raid early yesterday morning. The plants have an estimated street value of €360,000, pending further analysis.

Three men were arrested following the raid, one of whom will appear in court this morning.

Another two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, remain in custody at Thomastown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
