getting warmer

We're about to get a little taster of summer this weekend

Sunday and Monday are looking like the best days of the next seven days.

THE WEEKEND IS set to bring dry and sunny weather with moderately warm temperatures that will get warmer closer to Monday.

But though Sunday and Monday are looking like they’ll bring some summer sunshine, the weather before that will be more mixed.

Met Éireann says today will have a good deal of dry weather with some patchy light rain and drizzle in the north and north west. Temperatures will range between 16-20 degrees celsius.

Tomorrow is predicted to be much the same with Leinster and Munster getting the best sunshine early in the day and the northwest experiencing rain. The rain is then expected to move down over the rest of the country throughout the afternoon and evening.

Saturday is set to have more sunshine with temperatures reaching 21 degrees and the south of the country benefitting most from the improved weather.

Sunday and Monday are then expected to be mainly dry with temperatures gradually increasing to become warm and potentially reaching 24 degrees on Monday.
