Here comes the sun: your weekend weather forecast

Temperatures could hit 26°C today…

WE’RE IN FOR A SPOT of summer this weekend, with temperatures today and tomorrow expected to reach the mid-20s.

Although passing clouds will cover parts of the country, overall Met Éireann forecasts sunny spells in all areas throughout the day. The highest temperatures of 26°C are being forecast for the west and midwest.

Tonight could bring some cloudy periods and scattered showers, especially around the southwest early tomorrow morning which will spread northwards during the day. However, Saturday is expected to be mostly dry across Ireland, with temperatures of up to 23°C.

However, while the outlook for Sunday also notes sunny spells, showers are much more likely to break out, with thundery and heavy downpours possible.
