One of the worst first world disasters has to be pouring milk into your lovely cup of tea and then realising it’s actually gone off and you have to start all over again – but first go out and buy some new milk. The actual stress of it. Thankfully, researchers in China are now developing some very smart tags which can tell you if the product inside a container is fresh or not. Thanks China.
Anti-social app of the week
This glorious app helps you to avoid situations where you see that one person you don’t want to run into and are forced to either cross the street or stop and make smalltalk with them.

Visitors in a museum in Stockholm can now virtually unwrap an Egyptian mummy without causing any damage to the body and wrappings, BBC reports.
Addictive game of the week
We’d like to thank Buzzfeed for getting us addicted to this really easy game this week. All you have to do is move the numbers with your arrow keys to make tw0 and tw0 become four, four and four become eight, and so on until you reach 2048. Once you start it’s almost impossible to stop…except when you lose, of course.
News app of the week
Wouldn’t it be nice sometimes to have someone just read out the news articles on your various apps to you? Well now there’s an app for that too, The Verge reports. Newsbeat has articles from hundreds of newspapers and even offers more bitesized versions of longer articles in case you’re in a hurry.
