IT’S THE NEW year but some people want to keep the festive spirit going for as long as possible.

Many people wait until 6 January, often viewed as the official last day of Christmas, before they take down their tree.

However, others prefer to get the job done much sooner.

Poll: When are you taking down your Christmas tree?

Poll Results:

In the next couple of days (4976)
6 January (3513)
It's already down (3064)
After 6 January (3038)
I didn't have a tree this Christmas (555)
I don't celebrate Christmas (114)
