Woman (20s) hospitalised after serious assault in Co Meath

The incident happened this morning on Abbey Road in Duleek.

A WOMAN IN her 20s was hospitalised following an alleged serious assault in Co Meath this morning.

This incident happened on Abbey Road, Duleek, Co Meath shortly after 11.10am.

A woman in her 20s was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, for treatment of injuries which are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.

Anyone who was in the Abbey Road area of Duleek, Co Meath between 10.30am and 11.30am this morning, and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, is asked to make this available.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ashbourne garda station on (01) 8010600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.

A spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
