A third person arrested over the seizure of 5kg of the drug from two cars on the N4 on Monday evening.

A 26-YEAR-OLD woman who was arrested on Monday in connection with the seizure of heroin worth an estimated €1.4 million is to appear in court this afternoon.

Five kilograms of the drug were seized yesterday evening after searches on two cars on the N4, close to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre at the junction with the M50, on Monday evening.

The woman will appear before Blanchardstown District Court in relation to the haul later today.

A 41-year-old man and 32-year-old man have already appeared in the same court in connection to the seizure.

Gardaí say the searches were carried out by the Harcourt Street-based Organised Crime Unit as part of an ongoing investigation into criminal activity in the Dublin area.
