A WOMAN IN her 30s has died after being involved in a collision between a car and a truck in Co Monaghan yesterday.
The fatal collision involving a car and a truck happened on the N2 at Castleshane, Co Monaghan, at around 2.45pm.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed yesterday for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 2.30pm and 2.50pm yesterday are asked to make this footage available.
