Woman shot in the foot in Louth

The 20-year-old is recovering in hospital where her injuries are said to be not serious.

A WOMAN IS recovering in hospital after being shot in the foot at a housing estate in Dundalk.

Gardaí in Louth have appealed for information about the incident which occurred at Maple Drive in Maple Close yesterday afternoon.

The 20-year-old received a gunshot wound to her foot and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. Her injuries have been described as not life-threatening.

Anyone who was in the area between 4pm and 5pm Saturday are asked to contact the local station on 042 938 840.
