Xbox One launching in 26 more countries in September
The expansion will include the eight European countries whose launch in November was delayed because of localisation issues.

MICROSOFT’S LATEST CONSOLE, the Xbox One, will be arriving in 28 more countries in September, including eight European countries whose original launch date was delayed.

Originally, the console was supposed to launch in 21 countries in November, but Microsoft delayed the launch in eight European countries because of localisation issues.

Now the console will be arriving in 26 different countries, including the eight delayed countries,in a few months time.

The countries include Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and UAE.

The company will share more information about the launches in April, according to Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, but the September timeline has been set in stone.

The expansion will certainly help the Xbox One as it competes against the Playstation 4, which is currently available in 57 countries worldwide. Since the start of this month, the PS4 has sold more than six million units worldwide.

Microsoft hasn’t revealed how many Xbox One consoles it has sold, but said in a statement that it sold 258,000 units in the US during February, and that the Xbox One launch was its most successful launch in Xbox history.

Xbox One sales received a boost in the UK after both a price cut and the release of sci-fi shooter Titanfall, a title exclusive to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
