THE BODY OF AN 85-YEAR-OLD MAN who lived alone near Ballina, Co May, was discovered outside his home yesterday. It is believed the man slipped on ice, and is the second pensioner in Mayo who is understood to have died as a result of falling in the cold weather, RTÉ Radio One reports. Last week, the body of a 78-year-old man was discovered outside his home in Claremorris, according to Mayo Today.
