Gardaí appeal for witnesses to car crash that seriously injured 13-year-old boy
The collision took place in Meath on Wednesday.
GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for witnesses to a collision that took place in Co Meath, leaving a 13-year-old boy with serious injuries.
The incident took place at the Eastham Road in Bettystown at about 3.45pm on Wednesday (8 October).
The boy was seriously injured after being struck by a car while crossing the road.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The collision occurred outside the entrance to the Wellesly Manor estate. The boy was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda but was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a serious condition.
Gardaí in Laytown have said that they are grateful to the public for their assistance to date and to the witnesses who have come forward.
