Man arrested in connection with 2011 murder of Dean Johnson

The latest arrest comes nearly 18 months after the killing. To date, no one has been charged in relation to the murder.

GARDAI HAVE ARRESTED a man as part of their ongoing investigation into the murder of Dean Johnson in May of last year.

The man, in his 40s, is currently being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

It is now nearly 18 months since 20-year-old Johnson was shot and killed as he sat in a car in Moorfield Avenue in Clondalkin.

In the year and a half that have since passed, a number of people have been arrested in relation to the killing.

No one has ever been charged, however.
