DETECTIVES FROM THE PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch have charged a 27-year-old man for possession of explosives.
The man was arrested in Derry yesterday morning and has been charged with two counts of possession of explosives in suspicious circumstances, specifically military high explosives.
Sub machine gun
He was discovered to have hand grenades and has been charged with five counts of possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, specifically a sub machine gun, two pistols and firearm magazines and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon namely a stun gun and CS gas spray.
The man is due to appear at Londonderrry Magistrates Court on Monday.
