Two arrested after seizure of €40,000 worth of cannabis

Gardaí conducting a checkpoint on the N7 yesterday evening found the drugs during the search of a car.

GARDAÍ AT BLANCHARDSTOWN have arrested a man and woman and seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €40,000.

At 8pm last night, gardaí from the traffic unit in Blanchardstown were conducting a checkpoint on the N7 and stopped a car. A search of the car uncovered cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €40,000.

The man in his late 30s and woman in her mid 20s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
