Gardaí searching for missing woman discover body

A body was located shortly after 2pm.

GARDAÍ SEARCHING FOR a missing woman have this afternoon discovered a body.

Officers have said that as part of a planned search, they discovered the remains of a woman at around 2pm in an area of undergrowth in the Coolmine Woods area of Blanchardstown, west Dublin.

She has yet to be identified.

Gardaí had been conducting searches for Linda Christian, a 29-year-old woman who went missing three weeks ago.

A garda spokesman said: “The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau has been notified. The body remains at the scene.”
