Second hit and run in 24 hours as woman critical after being hit by coach luggage door in Dublin

Two men were taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a hit and run this afternoon.

Gardaí believe that the luggage door of a coach hit three pedestrians today on Lincoln Place in Dublin’s south inner city at about 3.10pm today.

The busy junction leads from the back of Trinity College Dublin onto Merrion Square.

A woman was seriously injured in the incident and was taken to St James’ Hospital where her condition is described as critical.

Two men were taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the incident to come forward.

This is the second hit and run incident in less than 24 hours. Gardaí are also investigating an incident where a man died last night after being hit by vehicle in Meath.
