Man found dead after discovering intruders in his home

Two men were arrested and are being questioned by gardaí.

TWO MEN ARE being held and gardaí are investigating the death of a man whose body was found outside his home in Limerick earlier today.

The man, aged 62, was found by gardaí in his front drive at the home in Toomaline, near Doon.

It is believed that members of a local gang was interrupted while burgling the house shortly before the man died. The circumstances of how he died are not yet known.

Two men were arrested in connection with the burglary and are being questioned at Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick city.

The man’s body has been removed to Limerick Regional Hospital and a post mortem is due to take place tomorrow.
