THE ANNUAL MACY’S Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in New York yesterday.

As the city recovers from the after effects of Superstorm Sandy, the parade with all its colour and massive, massive inflatable characters brought the city some much-needed colour and fun.

Thousands took to the streets of Manhattan and here’s some of what they saw:
