18-year-old to be charged in connection with fatal stabbing over the weekend

AN 18-YEAR-old man is due to appear before court in Dublin today charged in relation to a fatal stabbing over the weekend.

The man was arrested along with an 18-year-old woman late on Saturday night following the stabbing at the Seagull House flat complex on Rutland Avenue, Crumlin earlier in the day.

A man in his 20s received stab wounds in the incident and was taken to St James’ Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The 18-year-old woman was released early this morning without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

The man will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at Parkgate Street this morning at 10.30am.
