Investigation after woman dies in Cork house fire

The blaze broke out at around 1.30am this morning in the Passage West area of Cork.

A WOMAN HAS died in a house fire in Cork.

Gardaí in Cork are investigating the fatal house fire, which broke out at Pembroke Crescent, Passage West, at 1.30am this morning.

The body of a 36-year-old woman was located in the house, gardaí said.

Her body remains at scene and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified. The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.
