Flowers laid for Peggy Mangan

The 65-year-old had been missing since Tuesday before her body was found at a stretch of waste ground close to the Ikea store in Ballymun in north Dublin.

NOTES AND FLOWERS have been placed near where the body of Peggy Mangan was found yesterday.

The 65-year-old had been missing since Tuesday before her body was found at a stretch of waste ground close to the Ikea store in Ballymun in north Dublin.

The body of the Terenure resident was  found by two men who had been part of a large-scale search which was stood down and around 3.30 pm on Saturday. Her dog, which had been seen alongside her side in a number of sightings was found near where the body was discovered.

Gardaí have not yet made a formal identification but a post-mortem was due this morning on the body of a woman found yesterday.
