Star Wars

Skellig Michael is the very first shot of Star Wars: Episode VIII

Disney has released a teaser showing the first scene being wrapped.

THE OFFICIAL production announcement for Star Wars: Episode VIII is here.

Disney has released a teaser for the new movie, showing the first scene from the movie to be filmed.

It looks like the island will have a starring role in the next movie – despite ongoing controversy about the impact of filming on wildlife and archaeological sites.

We don’t know for sure if the shot of Luke Skywalker will open episode VIII, but it certainly appears to have been the first committed to film. And beginning the movie with a scene on Skellig Michael would dovetail nicely with the end of episode VII…
